1. Who we are

Mycel is operated by Martello Systems, LLC. Contact us at hello@martellosystems.com with any questions.

2. Your account and content

You retain full ownership of everything you put into your vault. We store it on your behalf so Sero can help you organize and recall it. You can export everything as a zip of plain Markdown files at any time from Settings.

3. Age requirement

You must be at least 16 years old to use Mycel. If you are between 13 and 16, you may only use Mycel with the verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian. Mycel is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal data, email us and we will delete it.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use Mycel to store or share content that is illegal, infringing, or designed to harm others. We may suspend accounts that do so.

5. Cancellation and data export

You can cancel any time. On request we will export your full vault and delete your account within 30 days. If we ever shut Mycel down, you keep the brain you built — your vault is plain Markdown that lives anywhere.

Self-serve export is subject to reasonable size limits to keep the service stable for everyone — currently around 10,000 documents or 100 MB per export. If your vault is larger, the export tool will let you know; email us and we will arrange a full export by other means.

6. Service availability and disclaimer of warranties

Mycel is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We work hard to keep Mycel up and your data safe, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access, and you are responsible for keeping your own copies of anything important (export is always available).

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Martello Systems, LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of Mycel. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Mycel in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

8. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [JURISDICTION — confirm], United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute arising from these terms or your use of Mycel will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in that jurisdiction, and you consent to their personal jurisdiction. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be flagged in the app or by email before they take effect.
